This sheng pu-erh is made from leaves harvested from old tea trees in one of Yunnan’s most famous tea-growing regions. Over the years of ageing, this once young and vibrant tea has gradually acquired a depth, smoothness and character that cannot be achieved without time.

The flavour reveals honeyed sweetness, floral undertones, notes of dried fruit and a refined woodiness. The aftertaste lingers on the palate and returns in sweet waves even several minutes after each sip.

It is precisely these aged sheng pu’er teas that are prized for their ability to evolve with each infusion and create a unique experience during tea drinking.

The packaging specifies the Menghai region of Xishuangbanna. The specific tea mountain is not identified for this particular batch.

But sometimes what matters more than the legend of the mountain is what ends up in the teacup.
