Jin Ya’s Old Trees
This shu pu-erh is made from raw material harvested in 2013, but was only pressed into a cake in 2019.
During this time, the raw material has had time to mature and acquire additional depth, which is clearly noticeable from the very first infusions.
Jin Ya – golden buds – are abundant here.
Leaves and buds from old tea trees were used in production, resulting in a dense, rich and very smooth tea – a black-coloured elixir.
The flavour reveals notes of dark honey, dates, walnuts, dried fruit and sweet wood.
The infusion is thick and velvety, with a long, sweet aftertaste and a pleasant warming effect.
This is the very Shu Pu’er that does not seek to impress with sharpness or intensity, but captivates with its depth, balance and a sense of inner calm.
A tea for long evenings or leisurely morning tea sessions!
This is a mature, aged pu-erh with character, which is best appreciated by those who value aged shu pu-erhs and complex tobacco-and-wood aromas.
