Lao Cha Tou 2011
A dense, strong, mature tea without unnecessary roughness. The infusion is thick and rich, but without veering into 'oiliness' — balance is maintained.
In taste, a classic Menghai vibe: dark chocolate, nuts, woody sweetness, light creamy-caramel notes. The body is heavy, velvety, drinks softly despite astringency. The tea doesn't hit hard but confidently envelops — a smooth, warm state.
Aging has already done its work: the fermentation sharpness is gone, the taste is collected, rounded. An excellent choice for those who love shu with strength but without harsh earthiness and tar.
