Fresh Bai Mu Dan (白牡丹) is a classic white tea harvested in the spring of 2026. It is made primarily from delicate buds and young leaves, which gives the tea a noticeably fuller-bodied and richer flavour than Bai Hao Yin Zhen, whilst retaining the lightness characteristic of white tea.

The dry leaves have a very textured appearance: silvery buds, pale young leaves and darker, more mature fragments. Once warmed, a soft, slightly sweet aroma emerges — dried herbs, hay, floral honey and a hint of fruit.

The first infusions offer freshness and a delicate floral quality, followed by honeyed sweetness, dried fruit, meadow grasses and a hint of minerality. The aftertaste is long-lasting, gradually becoming sweeter and leaving a pleasant herbal and floral freshness.

It’s a tea you can enjoy for a long time — the more you pour, the more nuances emerge, ranging from fresh greenery and flowers to honey and dried fruit.

Bai Mu Dan 2026 is a good choice for any day—or, more precisely, for the evening: light but not insubstantial, fragrant but not overpowering, with a fairly full body and a lovely sweet aftertaste.
